Politics… Mac VS PC
So, I’m watching the infamous Mac -VS- PC commercial, and I can’t help but think how that pretty much sums up the 2008 Presidential election. Allow me to explain…
In one corner wearing blue trunks, you have Mac: the liberal, artsy, latte-drinking, reality-TV watching, “my opinion matters” type of candidate. In the other corner wearing red trunks, you have PC: the conservative, straight shooting, meat-eating, business-minded suitor.
Now in my opinion, it’s a lot more rebellious these days to do the RIGHT thing. Our country is so infatuated with “trying to be cool, or trying to fit in” that the public perception of celebrity has become something that doesn’t really matter. In fact, with most websites and TV shows lowering their standards and becoming more interactive, the majority of people think they are some kind of celebrity already.
Here’s where it does matter… in this year’s election. The liberal media has basically annointed this Obama guy, as if he were the Messiah. This guy basically came out of nowhere, from being a community organizer to becoming the Democratic Nominee for President of the free world. Being a younger guy, he appeals to the liberal society… as well as being a well-versed public speaker. What our society doesn’t realize is that we’re not looking for a freaking spokesmodel for Dockers Khakis… we’re talking about someone with NO experience running for the highest position in the country.
On the other hand, we finally have a stand-up guy in John McCain who can reclaim the Republican party, and erase the thought of George W. Bush from our memory. McCain is a guy with Values… not just clever sayings and catch-phrases. A war hero, who knows the meaning of sacrifice, adversity, and perseverance. The sad part is that all of these traits that make a good leader are overshadowed in the eyes of Americans by someone who is endorsed by Oprah.
So here’s what this means to you…
Going back to the Mac VS. PC commercial, let’s do an analogy. Let’s say the USA were a business. In fact, let’s use Apple Inc. as the example. Now as we all know, Steve Jobs is the president. He has experience, he’s business minded, and he’s done some EXTRAORDINARY things in his tenure with the company. Now let’s imagine that it were time to step down… who’s going to take his place? Mac? or PC?
PC has experience in the industry. When asked if he had any business experience, he opened a spreadsheet and showed his plan for maximizing the company budget. He has actually sacrificed his own life for the benefit of the company. He has the ability to take over in an executive environment, and make DECISIONS in the company’s best interest.
Mac has never done anything but take pictures and make videos. When asked if he’s ever run a company before, he says “Well, I WAS a moderator in a chatroom… and everybody liked me.” He also wants to shut down all Anti-Virus protection in hopes that Hackers will stop developing viruses. Then he adds “Peace, dude!” and takes a bong-hit.
So who do YOU want in charge of making the decisions that matter most to us as Americans? Don’t be fooled with the “4 more years of the same thing” banter that the liberals stand behind. Hell, it’s not even about the issues since ANYONE running for office is going to say what the people want to hear. Throw out the race card, and throw out the gender card.
Let’s talk about Mac & PC… show me a business that ISN’T a graphic design company that is being run on a Mac, and I’ll show you a business that will be bankrupt very soon.
Think about it…
